Muscle Activation Technique
Lindsey has always been a competitive soccer player, and soccer and fitness continue to be an integral part of her life. Having a hard time overcoming injuries in her soccer career, she worked with many professionals in the medical and fitness industry that inspired her to choose a path in health and fitness.
“I am a soccer, fitness, and mental health junkie who loves to listen to all music but especially reggae and 80-90’s music, I wear my heart on my sleeve, not afraid to dance in public, movie buff (especially Sci-Fi), lifelong student of all things, unapologetically myself, and enjoy playing most sports, not so much watching them. I like pushing heavy weight, always aiming to live a life of balance while also being a huge risk taker, and obsessed with my boxer dog Luna “the butt” and the auntie life of my nephews and niece (who make me do more cardio than soccer ever did).
I have a typical Italian relationship with food, and have to work everyday to balance that with healthy eating. But most of all, I love connecting with people, not small talk, but really getting to understand and know who they are and what makes them come alive, that is what drew me to personal training. Below is a little more about my career and how I became a co-owner of Cary Fit Project. Thanks for reading!”

When she moved back to NC she soon started a WPSL women’s competitive amateur soccer team, Oak City United (level under nwsl), that she owns and manages, since 2015. This gave her the opportunity she needed to give back and promote competitive women’s soccer, as well as health and fitness. In addition to those responsibilities, she has volunteered as the Regional Commissioner for the Carolina’s for the WPSL and worked as a Visitor Liaison for the NC Courage, while running her team.
That passion and drive to help others overcome injuries she herself faced guided her to many different facets in the industry. It was important to her to make sure she was versatile in her education and training. She was born in Saratoga Springs, NY and grew up in Cary, NC. Her youth career saw her playing for Triangle Futbol Club, HFC, and CASL teams. She would go on to captain Apex High School her junior and senior years. In college she attended and played for N.C. State University before transferring and playing at the University of Florida.
Her experience ranges over 13 years in the health and fitness industry and has an unwavering passion to help people become healthy, happy, and fulfill their true potential radiating in all facets of their lives and grow that business to make a positive impact on a large scale. “I am eager to have a place of my own to do what I love and help as many as I can in becoming the best versions of themselves via health and fitness. My main passion is to create the biggest positive ripple effect I can via Health, Fitness, and Soccer and am grateful for the opportunity to do this daily.”
